Online consultations present a unique opportunity for people and organisations to comment on important issues or policies that affect their lives. London Civic Forum may use online consultations on their own or in conjunction with a consultation event to facilitate dialogue and debate around key issues.

Below is a list of all active and inactive consultations. Unlike discussion forums, your submissions and comments regarding online consultations are kept private and confidential. Other users will not be able to view or comment on your submission. For more information on how to participate in these consultations, please visit the FAQs section of the website.

Our discussion forums provide a virtual space for users to debate important issues and themes in civic engagement and community empowerment. These forums enable individuals and organisations representing different communities and sectors to come together to share ideas and opinions, learn from each other and – together – contribute to and influence policy in London.

All active discussion forums will be shown below. Please note that while any user can view the background information and postings for any of these forums, only registered members will be able to take part in a discussion. Registration is free and easy- simply click here to Get Involved. For more information on how to use these forums, please visit the FAQs section of the website.

As part of its ongoing commitment to increasing civic participation and improving community empowerment in London, London Civic Forum regularly develops publications, guidance and research reports aimed at a range of audiences, from local authority officers to community development practitioners.

All of the resources on this page are specifically about community empowerment and engagement, and are free to download from this site. Additionally, we are happy to provide hard copy and large print versions of any of these materials upon request. Please contact us for further information.

Online surveys provide an opportunity for us to gather members’ views and opinions on a particular topic or policy. In the past, London Civic Forum has sought members’ views on a range of topics, from regional policies to requests for feedback on the organisation’s own activities and priorities. These surveys are simple to access and generally do not require more than 5-10 minutes of the users time.
